Poem 8- The Road

As I sail down the ribbon of black and yellow;

I turn the radio on to something mellow.

And as I cruise through this sea of black;

I begin to think and reminisce back.

I think of a time that was happy and care free;

and when things weren't so awkward between you and me.

I think back to when you were still the one;

And I wish some things hadn't been done.

I sit quietly in my chariot of steel;

And wish I could tell you just how I feel.

I can still feel my heart so heavy, and my stomach so meek;

Because of that one fateful day in that one fateful week.

And because I still carry this burdensome load;

I shall travel down this long, lonesome road.

Poem 7- Will You Be There

Will you be there when I fall,

For I will be there for you.

Will you catch me when I stumble,

For I will catch you.

Will you save me when I fail,

For I will save you.

Will you tell me when I am wrong,

For I will tell you.

Will you keep me when there is no one,

For I will always keep you.

You are my friend and I love you for it.

Poem 6- The Feeling

The feeling it wells inside me.

It swells and boils and comes to the surface.

The feeling it burns inside me.

It consumes and flashes and erupts within me.

The feeling it hardens inside me.

It freezes and loosens and chokes my being.

The feeling it empties inside me.

It sinks and hides and waits for its next chance.

The feeling it will never leave me.
